Marisa McGaughey is a Managing Partner and General Counsel of Cedar Investment Group.
In 2024, Marisa joined Chirisa Technology Parks as General Counsel before forming Cedar Investment Group in August 2025. After earning her Juris Doctor, Marisa completed an LL.M. in Taxation and began her legal career at K&L Gates in Dallas, Texas. She later joined Hudson Advisors, the asset manager for Lone Star Funds, where she advised the U.S. and European Lone Star Real Estate Funds on a broad range of investment and transactional matters. Most recently, Marisa spent time at Capital One Bank in New York City, where she was Head of Legal for the Commercial Real Estate business, and also led the broader legal team supporting the bank’s commercial lending platform and strategic initiatives.
Marisa is based in Arlington, Virginia, and spends her weekends in Madison, Mississippi, with her two rescue dogs.
